Welcome to the MentSocial Help Center. Below are answers to the questions we hear most often. If you cannot find what you need here, you can report a problem or request a review through the in-app reporting tools.

How do I create an account?

MentSocial uses sign-in with Google. Tap "Log In" or "Sign Up" on the home screen, complete the sign-in flow, and you will be guided through a short onboarding to set up your profile, interests, and discovery preferences. You must be at least 13 years old to join. If you are 13 to 17, you need permission from a parent or guardian, which you confirm during onboarding.

What is a teen account?

Members aged 13 to 17 have teen accounts. Teen accounts start with stricter privacy defaults, so your posts are shared only with the people you are connected with, and your profile is not listed for search engine indexing. Payments, selling, payouts, live broadcasting and the People (swipe) discovery area are reserved for adults, so they stay switched off until you turn 18. You can still post, follow, message and join in as usual. Parents or guardians can contact us to close a teen account or ask about their child's information.

How do I set up my profile?

After onboarding, open your profile from the navigation menu to add photos, a bio, interests, location, and other details. A complete profile helps others find and connect with you. You can edit your profile at any time, and you control who can see your posts, stories, and profile through your privacy settings.

What is the Discover feed?

The Discover feed shows posts, stories, and text articles from members. You can switch between two layouts: a classic column feed with text, images, and video, and a full-screen vertical (Reels-style) view. Your choice is saved to your profile. Use the Following and Trending tabs to change what you see.

How do I pin a post or story to the map?

When publishing a post or story, toggle "Pin to map" and your content will appear as an image pin on the nearby map instead of revealing your live location. Other members can tap the pin to view your content or visit your profile. This lets you share a location moment without exposing your private location.

How does messaging work?

You can message members you have connected with from the Messenger page. Quick-message presets are available when contacting a seller about a listing. Messages support realtime delivery with periodic refresh as a fallback so conversations stay reliable.

How do I buy or sell on MentShop?

Browse MentShop for items to buy or swap. To sell, set up your seller account from Settings, create a listing with photos and a description, and buyers can check out securely. Sellers manage orders and mark them shipped through the orders panel. Payments are processed through Stripe, and payouts go to your connected account.

How do payments and payouts work?

Paid features are available to members aged 18 and over only — teen accounts cannot buy or sell. All payments on MentSocial are handled securely through Stripe. When you buy an item, subscribe to a creator, or purchase tokens or spins, you are charged through Stripe Checkout. Sellers receive payouts to their Stripe Connect account after onboarding. We never store full card numbers — payment details are handled entirely by Stripe.

What is the 3D virtual world?

The 3D world is an immersive environment you can explore from your browser or mobile device. It includes themed biomes, a mall of storefronts, a theater, and live chat with other explorers. You can customize an avatar, pick up items, and interact with the space in real time.

How do I report content or a user?

Use the report button on posts, listings, profiles, or messages to flag content that violates our Community Guidelines. Choose a reason and add details. Our moderation team reviews reports and takes action, which can include removing content or suspending accounts.

How do I keep my account safe?

Use a strong, unique password with your Google account, review who can see your content in privacy settings, and never share your login details. Be cautious of messages asking for money or personal information. Report suspicious behavior — our team investigates fraud and scams.

Why was my account suspended?

Accounts are suspended for serious or repeated violations of our Community Guidelines, such as harassment, fraud, hate speech, or illegal content. If you believe a suspension was made in error, you can request a review. See the suspension notice in the app for next steps.

How do I delete my account?

You can request account deletion from your settings. This removes your profile and associated content in line with our Privacy Policy. Some data may be retained where required by law or to complete pending transactions.
